One of the most important bands in the evolution of funk, Funkadelic was an integral part of crazed genius George Clinton’s P–Funk empire. Fusing rock, psychedelia and soul they crossed over to the pop mainstream, were hugely influential in the evolution of hip-hop and remain revered by funk and soul fans throughout the world. The eleven tracks on this album are taken from the four groundbreaking albums they recorded for Warner Brothers between 1976 and 1981, widely recognised as their most creative and commercially successful period. Includes the funk anthem 'One Nation Under A Groove' and the De La Soul-sampled '(Not Just) Knee Deep'.
