After signing to 4AD in February of 2009, Camera Obscura brought out this, their fourth and most polished studio album. Songs of heartache fill the record and it can feel a little folksy and cute in parts but is more than made up for when the strings and pleading vocals come together, most effectively heard on the opening track, 'French Navy'.
