Philadelphia Records institution Wansel's classic record 'Life On Mars' is the most well-known cut on his eponymous album. Wansel plays keyboards, Derek Graves slaps out a monster riff on bass guitar while session singer, Terri Wells provides the backing vocals. The much-sampled title track is a New York and UK dance classic and is actually like going on a journey to Mars itself, although one that lasts only seven minutes. Other galactic funk highlights to be found on the album include the superb 'Disco Lights', and the Enter The Dragon-esque 'Stargazer'. Seminal stuff and Joey Negro's Vicar Disco label backbone.
