Welcome to the monthly Mystery Mix, where nature's finest disc jockeys show off the girth of their collections and try to outfox the DJH detectives. Your job is to hear some great music and make your very best efforts to identify the tunes. Once the secrets are out we'll add a track listing.
Bicep February 2012
Bicep and their blog Feel My Bicep are the work of a northern Irish duo whose releases and remixes for Domino, Wolf Music, RVNG and others have got them a lot of attention over the past year. In the summer they toured the USA ending in a coveted support slot for Horse Meat Disco at MOMA's PS1 party. They also released their debut EP on NYC’s Throne Of Blood label recently.

Crazy P October 2011
The Crazy P trio – Danielle, Chris, Jim – formed in the midst of acid house tomfoolery in the environs of Manchester and Nottingham. Having thrown a few singles out there as a plausible means of avoiding doing meaningful work, they found themselves with a career and even several albums. Their newie, out now on 2020, is a bit of doozie. You should check it out. They also DJ. This is what they sound like.Track listing

Joakim September 2011
As well as producing some of the wooziest and wayward dance music we've heard, Paris-based Joakim is also the fellow behind the brilliant Tigersushi label, responsible from some seriously ace releases over the years. Zaf And Mark July 2011
This month sees a serious pair of collectors, Mark Taylor and Zaf Chowdhry, combine forces in celebration of their about-to-be released compilation Americana on BBE this month. Both have been collecting since the 1970s, as well as DJing all over the shop. Zaf will be known to many as one the fixtures behind the counter during the heyday of Reckless in Soho. Mark also releases edits as one half of La Homage duo.Track listing

DJ Garth June 2011
Although originally from the UK, DJ Garth forged his considerable reputation as part of the Wicked crew (alongside Markie Mark, Jeno and Thomas) whose legendary parties are now part of the folklore of the west coast of America's party scene. In ‘20 Minutes Of Disco Glory’, he is also responsible for one of the iconic house records of the 1990s, and for many years he ran the excellent Grayhound label, where dub and house met and generally had a good old grope.Track listing

Neville Watson April 2011
Neville Watson, the younger brother of photographer Gavin, is the reggae fan who discovered acid house in 1988. He swapped the rocksteady for Trax and has been building a reputation ever since, firstly at Checkpoint Charlie and lately as a gun-for-hire all over Europe. He has released a slew of singles under his own name and in conjunction with KiNK, his work appearing on prestigious labels such as Clone, Dissident and Rush Hour. Den Haan March 2011
Den Haan are Matthew Aldworth and Andy Gardiner, whose partnership was born from a shared passion in leather disco, Italo sounds and early 80s high camp. Using original 1980s electricity, they seek to recreate the golden era of Simonetti, Tantra, Carpenter and Cowley. When they DJ, this is what they sound like. For those unfamiliar with the cut of his jib, Matthew Burgess, alongside his mucker Jolyon Green, is resident at our own party Low Life. Nottingham-based DJ/Producer Danny Berman has had a pretty hectic couple of years. He performed at the Radio 1 Worldwide Awards and a slew of festivals as well as releasing massive house and disco records on record labels including Tirk, Untracked, Home Taping and Undertones. Coyote September 2010
Coyote is Ampo and Timm Sure, the latter putting together this mix. Timm has been DJing for over 20 years firstly at places like Venus and Essence and lately at The Bomb and Stealth.
