By accessing www.djhistory.com (‘the website’, ‘our website’) you agree to the following terms and conditions. We may change them at any time without notice, so please check for updates. If you find any of the following conditions a problem you must not use the website.

You must be over 16

You must be at least 16 years old to use www.djhistory.com and at least 18 to buy things from it. If you’re under 16, you must get permission to use the website from your parent or guardian, who must agree to these terms and conditions and our privacy policy and take full responsibility for your conduct and acts or omissions. The website attracts DJs and northerners and may include content which is unsuitable for under 16s.

You accept that we’re not perfect

We'll try to keep our website generally marvellous. But we can't guarantee that it will always be free from bugs, service interruptions, technical problems, viruses, hacking or other security breaches. We are not liable for any loss or damage that may occur as a result. We are not responsible for the software, hardware, internet account or swivel chair you use to access the website. We do not guarantee that the website is compatible with any particular hardware, software or internet provider. We may modify, suspend or discontinue part or all of the website at any time without notice and without compensation.

You promise to behave nicely

You won’t use the website to do anything illegal or immoral, and in using it you will obey all applicable laws and regulations. You will not use the website in a way that might damage or interrupt its function or performance. You will not attempt to access areas or components of the website for which you are unauthorised.

Our website is copyright © DJ History Limited, all rights reserved. Unless otherwise stated, all material in the website is copyrighted by us or our licensors. Except with the relevant license or permission, you may not sell, rent, republish, redistribute, share, make available, copy, reproduce, duplicate, edit, modify or sub-license material on this website.

You'll be good in our public areas

You must not use the website to copy, publish or send material which is illegal or unlawful, defamatory, obscene, indecent, hateful, discriminatory or inflammatory, or which could infringe any person’s intellectual property rights or rights of confidence, impinge upon any person’s privacy, give rise to legal action under English and other applicable law, or constitute incitement to commit a crime. You must not use our website to copy, publish or send mass mailings or spam.

We can kick you out if you're bad

We have the right to monitor any activity associated with the website and any content such activity generates, though obviously we can’t review everything. We may take appropriate action against any breach of these conditions or of any laws or regulations. We reserve the right to edit, copy, republish or remove any material posted on the website. Content posted by members expresses the view of the author and not that of DJ History Limited nor its partners or suppliers.

Outside DJhistory it's a different story

We are not responsible for the products, services, content, availability or privacy practices of any of the third-party websites that www.djhistory.com may link to or draw content from.

You'll keep your details correct and up to date

If you join DJhistory.com you must provide accurate, current and complete information about yourself, and you must update the information when necessary to keep it accurate, current and complete. If you don’t do this we may cancel your account and deny you service.

You'll help us keep the site secure

You must keep your account log in information confidential, including your email address, username and password, change your password regularly, and log out of your account at the end of each session. You must tell us immediately about any unauthorised use of your log in information or any other breach of the website’s security. We are not liable to you or any third party for any loss or damage that results from your failure to comply with these conditions.


Buying things

To buy something from www.djhistory.com you must tell us what you want and give us complete and correct details of your name, email address, delivery address and billing address, at your own risk. You guarantee that the credit card or other payment account (such as PayPal) you use is valid and yours and contains sufficient funds for your order. You agree that we can contact you by email. In buying something from www.djhistory.com you will also join the website and must accept the conditions of registration. You agree that all products you order from the website are for personal non-commercial use only.



Your contract for purchases from the website is with DJ History Limited, registered address The Birdcage, 80 Columbia Road, London, E2 7QB. There is no contract between you and us for the sale of any goods until we have received and accepted your order and received appropriate payment and sent you confirmation by email to the address you have given. Once we do so, whether or not you receive the confirmation email, there is a binding legal contract between us and we will be deemed for all purposes to have effectively communicated it to you. Any orders received by us after 5.00pm GMT/BST shall be deemed to have been received the following day.


Descriptions and prices

The description and price of goods will be as shown on the website at the time you place your order. We make every effort to make sure descriptions and prices are correct. If an error is found we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of either cancelling your order and being refunded for it or reconfirming the order at the correct price. Goods are subject to availability. If the goods are not in stock when we receive your order we will inform you as soon as possible and refund or recredit any charges we have made for the goods. For some goods you must pay a delivery charge. Prices and delivery charges include VAT. We reserve the right to change prices without any notice and without any obligation.



Although you may remain on our site your transaction is processed by the payment gateways provided by CreditCall and Paypal. They provide a reliable and secure service, but we are not responsible for the correct functioning of their systems, nor for any loss or damage occurring as a result of their error or failure.



We will make every effort to deliver your goods as soon as possible and within 30 days of your order. We will inform you if there is further delay. However we are not liable for any loss or damage suffered by you due to any delay in delivery. The goods will be dispatched to the delivery address you gave with your order. If delivery cannot be made to this address or if there is no one there who can accept delivery, you will be notified of an alternate delivery date or a place where you can collect the goods. If delivery cannot be made and the goods are returned to us we will refund you the cost of the goods excluding the postage and packing. Once the goods are delivered to you you become the owner and fully responsible for them. For any goods purchased from a 3rd party via DJHistory.com (for example, Amazon), please consult their terms and conditions.



You have the right to cancel the contract, for any reason, up to seven working days (days other than weekends and public holidays) after you receive the goods. To cancel the contract, give notice in writing, including full details of your order, to orders@djhistory.com or to DJ History, 1st floor, 106 Leonard St, London EC2A 4RH.


Damaged, faulty or incorrect goods

If you receive goods that are damaged or defective, we shall at our own option either replace or repair them or refund you the cost of the goods and the postage and packing, provided you return them to us as described below. If you receive incorrect goods from us we will replace them with the correct goods or refund you the cost of the goods and the postage and packing, provided you return them to us as described below.



If you cancel your contract after the goods have been dispatched you will be responsible for returning them to us at your own cost. Goods must be in the condition in which they were delivered to you and you must take reasonable care to ensure they are not damaged in the meantime or in transit. Please package them carefully because if they are damaged due to inadequate packaging we will not give a refund. Send the package to DJ History RETURNS, The Birdcage, 80 Columbia Road, London, E2 7QB. We recommend you use recorded delivery.



Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract we will refund or recredit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods, provided that you return the goods in question in the condition in which they were delivered to you.



Non-UK sales

Orders sent to a non-UK address may be subject to additional taxes and duties charged in the destination country for the importation of the goods or for clearing customs. The consignee (the person to whom the package is addressed) is responsible for any such charges. You should check with your local post office or customs service about what charges are payable and how they are collected.


Don't blame us

While we make great efforts to keep DJhistory.com accurate, updated and reasonably funny, we do not guarantee its completeness, quality, accuracy or sense of humour. Our liability is limited and excluded to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law. We will not be liable for losses, damages, claims, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising from your use of the website, or from others using your www.djhistory.com account, or from others accessing the website using your computer or internet access account. If you have any right, claim or action against any third party arising as a result of their use or misuse of the website, you agree to pursue it independently without recourse to us.

This is the whole story

These terms and conditions, together with our privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of our website. They supersede any previous agreements on the matter. If any part of these conditions is unenforceable the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.


These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and any disputes relating to them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
