Formed in 2005 by Toronto’s Steve Yanko, Truffle has released some fantastically quirky music on the left side of house. It has also done an excellent job in helping to nurture and promote Canadian artists on an international stage, with releases so far by Andrew Allsgood, Dubious and Don Cash. As they themselves say, “Truffle embodies the quirkier side of 4/4 richly steeped in dub and disco and the danceable live elements those musical giants exploited.”
