The UK hip hop wing of the Ninja Tune empire. Established with hip hop writer Will Ashon in 1997, they have built a brilliant reputation for unearthing quirky and offbeat talents that have, over the years, included the don of British MCs Roots Manuva, the Bethnal Green P-funker Infinite Livez, grimey Wiley and last year’s Mercury Prize winner Speech Debelle. What once was something of a laughing stock, British hip hop has been responsible for some of the most eclectic and daring MCs in the past ten years and Big Dada has led the way.
