Amazing amount of work gone into the musical references on this. Respeck.

Milton Keynes?

My brother nicked his St Etienne LP back this week, claimed it is one of his top bands of the era, I do love some of their work, I think this band hold a closer place in his heart. Will maybe invest in this for him. Cheers for ref.

The single arrived yesterday.

Can someone decode the sleeve for me? I'm sure there's some sort of hidden meaning going on.

Flipside of the album innit, names of people that happen to be songs rather than place names that are. Clever.

This dawned on me (eventually).

The picture is from a Specials gig. It's also a tribute to this-

I'm debating whether to go.

Last time I saw them (at ATP) was a bit of a shambles. Turned up really late so the set got halved. Then the monitors failed during 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart' so Sarah Cracknell lost where she was in the song. The music wasn't remotely live so they couldn't restart it.

I think they play with a proper band for their tours though.

It's worth going to see them just for the live version of 'He's On The Phone'.

135 BPM, tops off, poppers o'clock epicness.

one of those pub quiz questions - who sang the vocal on OLCBYH? and people always mistakenly think its Sarah Cracknell
