fuck the footy/tennis/olympics!
this is the real deal. no diving for penalties/no break after a few points/no sponsorship by proctor & gamble.
great first week, with brad and cadel evenly matched after the first real climbs on saturday and sunday.
shame andy schleck ain't there because it looks like a two horse race at the moment.

Good point you make about diving for penalties...Andre Greipel was almost involved in a crash and won a stage, then the next day actually was in a crash (ripped shirt, massive graze) and came second. Tony Martin put in a decent TT performance yesterday with a broken wrist. Etc...etc...

BTW anyone seen The Devil?
recovering from surgery apparently, promises to be back next year for the centenary.
tommy did it again today. amazing determination to get the spotted jersey. one more day in the mountains to come so it'll be nibali's last chance. can't wait for sunday.

The big question now is who will win the final stage into Paris, Cavendish Sagan or Greipel?
Yes, the main interest has been the (massive) novelty of two British riders at the top of the GC. Otherwise not a thrilling battle for the podium places. I'd like to see team radios banned, which might bring back a bit of spontaneity and agression to the proceedings.
Great race for the British, but also a great one for the French: Thomas Voeckler's heroics over the last couple of days really sum up why I love Le Tour..

agreed. i'm all for technological advances on the bike side but it should be down to the team leader on the road to make the calls and not the management.
as regards to sunday, it wouldn't surprise me to see wiggins lead out cav for a sprint win. wiggins needs to stay out of trouble and with his strength and turn of speed could come right to the front on the last lap.
yesterday showed that cavendish still has the edge on sagan, greipel and matty goss. incredible acceleration from 500m from the line after 220km. i've never seen anything like it. he's been let off the leash at last!

Ah, I see. GWS Devil
Despite a slightly subdued race for Yellow this year, it is good to see some British riders doing so well. And from what I've seen of Wiggins, he seems like a nice guy, which hasn't always been the case with TDF winners!
i should've had a bet on that.
