I got this in a charity too, must have sold lots more than trip to your mind. I also quite like the intrumental but feel it doesn't quite hit the mark as an arrangement, always thought it could do with an edit Wink

I was in Essex recently, visiting my mother and happened on a charity shop selling a bunch of 7" vinyl (my favourite format). My heart leapt a bit when i saw a load of London/ RCA/ Columbia / Regal Zonophone 45s all in good nick. Nothing that rare alas but good for 50p. When the guy behind the counter saw me looking he gave me a whole box of 45s to look through that hadn't gone out yet. There was some good stuff in there including some 60s Move singles, a couple of Joe Meek Triumph label early 60s 45s....as well as numerous hits/ misses/ obscurities from the late 60s/ early 70s. I took the lot and got them for a tenner. The best thing about them is that they are mint or Ex.
I think you sometimes have to build rapport with these people and they will let you into their secret world.

you're in Germany I guess...nice finds!

I've got a lot of those Coloursound records, the "Percussive Underscores" by Now Generation is a MONSTER!

What are the black libraries in the picture above those? never seen them before.

Yes, I am. That "Percussive Underscores" is quite nice indeed. The black library you are asking about are
from the "Red Bus Music Library" (UK). I never heard about it before. The "Rhythms & Patterns" one is ace.
Sounds very ESGish to me. Driving Disco and Punk Funk. It is as good as the "Percussive Underscores", imho.

I haven't found anything good in AGES. Records are so overpriced in charity shops here in Finland, often some crap 12"'s are like 5-6€. It's cheaper to buy from discogs, postage included, usually.

I did find this one for 2€ a while ago though: http://www.discogs.com/Shiny-Two-Shiny-Waiting-for-Us/release/222894

I got no idea why they're asking 50€ for it on discogs, the track is nothing special imo. Haven't listened to the b-side yet though, maybe it's a rare balearic classic or something like that.

Nice finds! I don't find loads of libraries but the last 4 months have been good to me.

On monday found:
- Droids - Star Peace mint
- Second Peru - Constilations album mint
- Space - Just blue (blue vinyl)

Some charity shops are awfull. But the smaller ones are mostly better. And also check for new charity shops. They are the best. Got to go back to the place of monday. Still have to do the 7" selection later this day.

But best leads are internet leads to me. Found 10 records worth 3k in feb. This man 12", Vance and suzanne twice! Charly Kingson - Born In Africa 12", Some Land of hits 12". All mint!

Flea markets here in the Netherlands are mostly nothing. If some record dealers are there and you know they have cleaned the market at 8 o clock.
