Default MOTD - your replacements for Gary, Alan & gang.

Apparently there was an article in one of the Sunday papers about the 'blandness' of MOTD dullards Linekar, Shearer, Hansen & co. Personally i couldn't agree more. The idea of sitting through their beigeness during the World Cup is thoroughly depressing.

Anyway it got me thinking about who i would like to see doing it instead, so for starters (& i think they have to be football or sport related) i reckon these would be a little more interesting next summer:

Anchor: Jeremy Kyle

pundit 1: Chris Waddle

pundit 2: Jose Mourinho

who would your pundits be?

Anchor: James Richardson
pundit 1: Neil Ruddock

pundit 2: Ian Holloway

It would be great TV. I promise you.

James Richardson

Martin O'Neill

Gordon Strachan (can't stand him but he is good value)

Jose Mourinho

Graeme Souness (by far the best pundit on Sky, he has original opinions unlike that complete melt Jamie Redknapp who just recyles the same old cliches)

Nobody will ever come close to Brian Clough though - as a kid watching the 74 tournament he was the business.

people complain about it over here but I feel lucky with the pundits we get on Irish TV compared to BBC (and indeed ITV and SKY). the only one on BBC I think is ok is Lee Dixon.

Eamonn Dunphy, Johnny Giles and Graham Souness are the best pundit panel on tv. Dunphy does tend to say controversial stuff for the sake of it some times but overall you do get a lot of good analysis and proper arguments.

ok, a couple votes for James Richardson & Jose Mourinho (sounds good), just need a general concensus for the second pundit. then i'm off to see my big wig friends at the bbc.
