Still a few weeks to go, but nevertheless...three tunes which I thought were heads and shoulders above anything else this year:

Shackleton - It's Time For Love
Joker - Digidesign
AMadou & Miriam - Ce N'est ce Pas - Bullion remix

Most played LP - Juan Maclean - The Future Will Come. (Actually, most played is Thomas's 'Live At Robert Johnson', but that's a compilation).

Track of the decade is actually surprisingly easy: has to be Rhythm & Sound - King In My Empire. Genius.

Still Going - Untitled Love
Parallel Dance Ensemble - Pizza Turtle Cadillac Yam Who remix
Omar S - Blown Valvetrane

lp: Linkwood - System
or Night Dubbin' if we are allowed comps

track of the decade: DJ Gregory - Attend 1

When i first heard it i thought it was crap (LLV played it in the Box at MOS). I heard it a few weeks later on a LLV mix from Southport and had forgotten all about it and I suddenly needed it badly . I was already big on DJ Gregory at the time after blockparty but had no idea it was him, when i saw it pop up on Juno and listened to it i jumped up and down screaming, a track that had been driving me nuts by my favourite producer of the time and i'd found it. It was a slow burner at first but whenever i played it out people loved it and it became a classic after a few years. People would ask for it every week when i worked in Uptown Records, 4/5 years after being released. Now it's a UK Funky staple, no shame in that. It has provided the most joy and interaction with punters of any record over the past decade for me. A simple and genius record that is as house as it comes.

Honorable mention for the 'Dunks - How We Do in NYC mix CD'

Ooh nice - on the near faultless Swayzak Fabric CD if I recall correctly?

Gonna have to think about my selection - only got one so far. Need to go through my records!

1) Leo Zero - Bon Bon
2) Still Going 'Untitled Love'
3) 40 Thieves 'Don't Turn It Off' (Brennan Green)

Bill Callahan 'Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle'

LCD Soundsystem 'Losing My Edge'
- no record had as big or lasting an impact as this (plus it kick started DFA who practically own the decade) so wins in tune of the decade

that time of the year already! well i'll go with what immediately springs to mind

gold light - the pink noise
under your spell - desire
pumpkin - male bonding

lp - gok - bill wells & maher shal hash baz

single of decade - well the one that i played the most, loved the most and reignited the idea of fandom and excitement with the whole idea of music as statement, cheekiness, love, dancing and exhiliration is

excite bike - glass candy

none strictly dancey material but you can dance to all and i lurve to dance
