Default Dinosaur - Kiss me again

I was wondering wich version is on this bootleg from Disco Underground, seeing that there're quiet some shitty version around.

http://www.discogs.com/release/343157

Is this the original? from on Sire which rather sound like a live jam (probably is), but rocks like hell with that driving live drum.

http://www.discogs.com/release/388115

Or rather that version you can find on Disco not Disco compilation, where the live drum is replaced with a muffled shitty beat and some congas.

http://www.discogs.com/release/120031

... or those it come close to the edit that Optimo threw on their Eskimo compilation a while back, where the live drum is still rightly in place?

Could someone upload the track to put me out of my misery? Or just enlighten me!

Much Thanks

you should be able to tell by comparing running times no? the long one is the live jammy sounding one and the short one is the edit.

this was the last song i heard at a party i just left, incidentally.

the one for me is the 13 minute version on the red vinyl, think it's jimmy simpson or maybe other side. in my top 5 all time, along with aforementioned 'bustin out'

I got an OG with an edit on the other side. I think there is two OG pressings.

Somewhere amongst all the versions there is a KILLER track struggling to make itself heard.

That edit me and PabloSound did a couple of years back was based on the 12.42 'Kiss Me Again (Version)' , off the red vinyl promo. That's my favourite rendition, but we had to chop it up a lot to get it into a sensible structure.

The 6.50 edit's pretty good, too.

In my opinion, the Jimmy Simpson mixes rip the guts out of the track, by taking the emphasis away from those drums.

The drums are quiet right the motor of the track, they deliver the necessary drive to it. Pitty that it's muffled away in most versions, where it has to give space to the vocals.
Nothing with those, really, but the arrangment of whith the horns and strings are equally tasty.

So that reissue on red vinyl is the one with the drums, right?

Thx

you're right. i check the record after i posted and realised it's the 'version' version, th 12.42 one which has all that nice guitar build up

funny story - i saw nicky siano play a few yrs ago and asked if he had it on him and he played a really aweful extra housed up version of it. not sure by whom, but it was pretty bad
