There was (is? hopfully) a really good shop in teh backstreets behind the ufizzi gallery in Florence, ace bargain disco 12s (as they really look down on anything 'dance' in there), also amazing Kosmische / Kraut section but 40euro + a pop

Only other place Ive found vinyl in Tuscany was Lucca, 40 mins from Pisa, they have 2 shops, weirdly for a tiny place. They have a real lucky dip section in one of them, tucked away in a corner, where I spotted the OG Tuilo de Piscopo (?) lp with Stop Bajon on it (3 euros) , and lots of other indigionous unheard-of lps that may have the odd goodie on or may be all shite, impossible to tell. Again v rock oriented shop and they would no doubt be aghast and snooty if anyone wanted to pull out and hear any of that stuff.

I'll shamelessly exploit their aversion to dance music if I get half the chance.

Did you go to any particularly great and memorable restaurants... Or just "all of them"?!

Lucca used to have a few more shops about ten years ago. Try going to Via Reggio they used to have some good shops on the strip near the beech. Florence had two shops in the underpass near the station but i don't know if they're still there.
