depends what you're going for, if you're just going there to get twatted then it will probably be ok!

I probably shouldn't comment as i prefer smaller clubs where there's been a bit of thought that's gone into the sound system and general atmosphere but i think that that should be relevant in the larger clubs.

I liken these people who open up the vast majority of new (or should it be ‘nu’?) clubs to Roman Abramovich, shite loads of money but no fucking clue on the finer details of the business that they’re investing their money into*...

‘ooh I know, fuck the atmosphere, lets spend our money on fancy fridges and some really cool wallpaper in the vip room, yeah, that’ll bring em in’... jeeez

I just feel sorry for the people of nottingham, there aren't that many good clubs up there and they were probably quite excited about a new one opening up. shame.

summing up, it's exactly the same as any big club you've ever been too - nothing different at all, average everything.

*(I know he’s the richest son of a gun in Britain, but he didn’t even like football two years ago.)

shame, I really hate it when clubs spend loads on crap decor and ignore the sound. Ascencion in Manchester was another classic example...

Interesting comments as the club itself is raving about the system

"In terms of audio performance, Stealth will house the Funktion 1 Dance Stack. This equipment has been specifically sought out for it's quality. There are just four other systems of it's type in existence, this being the only one in the UK"

There are some fairly seasoned people behind it
Hmm! It always seems a bit to easy to urge other people not to try something out just because you didn't like it! The club has been open all of two weeks and it is not just a posh club it is a new live music venue- ngive them a chance to get some acts in! I personally had an awesome time there the other week, don't be sheep, go check it out for yourselves! As for the sound system- outrageous! A new club experiences a couple of technical teething problems which can easily be rectified, would you hear of it! I wish the place all the luck in the world. As for the owners not having a clue....... well he didn't do to badly with rock city or the rescue rooms, and he has been in the business for a good few years now- but still total amateur huh!?!?!?!?

oooh hark at you! i think we're all entitled to our own opinion and i can't remember saying that anyone was an amateur?? and I don't think that i specified that people shouldn't go?

I know james is a respected man in the club world and I'm sure a lot of people will love it, but i just thought i'd write something after reading this article, that in my mind, is misleading... http://www.touchnottingham.com/newspub/story.cfm?id=1272

i just get annoyed that nobody is trying anything different, they have the money and i think a little more thought could go into it.

Hello there. Nice to read this about stealth. Im from Nottingham and I dj with Kelvin Andrews since I was 16. I went on the first night and had a good time. Saw loads of old faces that had come for the first weekend especially. So it was a special occasion. I am also pleased that we have an additonal club here in town because it has been slightly lacking with the amount of choice out there. WIth nottingham, my personal tastes sway towards the social. I go there after work in the week and drink there like its my local. i also dj there every 2 weeks for saturday nightsand do our own night last friday of the month. guest have been great so far, greg wilson, nick the record, bill brewster, unabombers and myself and kelvin do the rest of it. Always quality music. just need more heads coming down. so far parties have been going off in places but i think a few mad enthusiasts who might know a few of the records should come down in the future. We always give away an exclusive cd of someone's collection whether it be mine or Kelvin's or one of the guests. Part of our aim to spread the cosmic vibe. If you ever fancy a night out in Notttingham be sure to check out Time Machine. From myself putting on the night i am completely blown away by the music every month. and there some lovely friends who come down and boogie all night. We'll make sure our keep happening so if you wanting to get on our e-mail list just give me a shout.

I will be sure to be going to Stealth in the future because I want to continue to witness the line ups that are going to be on. The Bomb is still going to be worth checking out with some great DJ's coming up. Moog is also worth checking out . Great bar just outside town (do not be put off by the small journey you have to make, well worth it, trust me). Just hope there's enough numbers out there to support everybody so everything can continue to exist. I know everyone is in competition but i would like there to be a certain amount of clubs in Notttingham doing well, packing it out, doing there thing, having fun and being part of a forward thinking, positive, thriving scene in the heart of England, and not seem to have to rely on the students to fill the club. Anyways this rant is over. It shall continue in due course.

Giz a shout if you try any of the clubs in Nottingham
