Nothing better than I nice big doobie, unwinding on a river or by a lake!

Used to. Carp was my thing for a while. Overnight jobs, blunts, stella, boilies. I used to love being out by the lake. Not done it for a long time, and don't have tackle anymore. Would be nice to get back into a bit of fishing at some point. Happy days.

I was a big angler in my teenage days and one of my Grimsby footie mates goes regularly and keeps trying to get me down with him. It's the early starts that's putting me off (and the cost of buying new rig).
ditto.
my estonian missus is totaly baffled that the majority of british anglers don't eat what they catch. in estonia any fish is edible be it from lake or stream.
i have eaten roach & pike there - very tasty & carp(smoked) are very popular.
the thought of disgorging some poor minnow from a size 12 hook really puts me off going back to it.
i think i enjoyed it as much for the being there, socialising, messing with tackle & gadgetry (indeed) etc as the actual catching of fish.
fond memories
