Still not finished, but Eurosport cut the broadcast to make way for some retarded motorsports or whatever.
Poor Ali Carter, things aren't going his way. Some decent snooker action though, but Ronnie pulled through.

O' Sullivan had it sown up by the 17th. He looked the champ at the beginning of the tournament to be fair with winnings of £325,000, not bad for 2 weeks work.

not followed the snooker for years now - not sure any match will ever beat Davis/Taylor 1985 (or was it 86?) for sheer drama!

The Jimmy White/Hendry final in the mid-nineties was top notch as well... Jimmy came so close and yet it was never to be, after he missed a black in a frame that would have won him the world championship....
The final wasn't really a contest, and neither player was on top form, but it's still a pleasure to watch Ronnie at the beize; definitely the most talented snooker player I've ever seen. I mean, being able to play left-handed as well... it's scary.

That left handed thing is such a bonus for him. not having to use the rest anywhere near as much as anyone else is a huge advantage

And the coke with Kirk. He used to come back after the interval practically running around the table. Ahhh the good old days before drink and drug testing...
From Wikipedia: "Werbeniuk was noted for the copious amounts of alcohol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol) he consumed before and during matches. He said that he generally drank around six pints of lager (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lager) before a match and then one pint for each frame. He said he did this to counteract familial benign essential tremor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_tremor). Later in his career he also took propranolol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propranolol), a beta blocker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_blocker); some sources claim he took it for the tremor, while others say he took it to cope with the effects of his enormous alcohol consumption on his heart.
Werbeniuk was ranked as high as eighth in the world in 1983 and reached the quarter finals of the world championship (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embassy_World_Snooker_Championship) four times before propranolol was banned in snooker competition."
