Will the F.A. see sense and give us our 15 point back today?
Big screens up outside Elland Road for the 5pm announcement suggests that Ken Bates doesn't normally spend money like that for nowt.
Doncaster chairman stating he has no gripe with Leeds and will not sue if we get our points back, complete u-turn.
Fingers crossed and eyes down for a full-house and league championship..

I'm not particularly hopeful - though if we get 5 points back it will certainly make the final games interesting.
It still riles me that West Ham weren't deducted any points for behaviour that actually influenced the results of games (and then lying about it) - thus condemning Sheff Utd to relegation.

If the ruling stands as is 10 points on going into administration, then 15 points for not producing a CVA, which is impossible lets face it, then you can kiss good-bye to Luton and Bournemouth next year. Then any club which goes into admin after that..
It's a massive day and decision, not just for Leeds if truth be told..

I think it's obscene it's taken this long to reach a decision. The timing is a bad joke. Doncaster and Swansea fans will feel rightfully screwed if you get the 15 points back.

I no longer care since Carlisle put together a relegation form run-in to drop out of the automatic promotion spot in the last week of the season after being there pretty much all season.

Yep, nobody likes Leeds except Leeds, although there are some nice comments from the scousers on here and I can respect that...
All I can say is -15 points and we still made the play-offs.
Good luck Luton and Bournemouth who'll be -10 at the end of the season and -15 at the start of next. Might as well call it a day for them lads, they will not survive and lets face it, any club not given the same treatment will cause a stir..
I noticed there's not been a lot of cat-calling from the fans of lesser secure teams, there but for the grace of god go I, and all that...
Leeds= 35+ years from being the Man U of their day, and the only team in 42KM of the UK's 5/6th largest city and/or the 4th largest conabation, yep easy to hate a good honest fan-base like that... Well done lads!

The arbitration should never have taken place in the last week of the season.
Reports suggest if Leeds had continued their poor form and were set to finish mid table they would have been awarded some points back.McAllisters appointment and the upsurge in form seems to have taken them by surprise.
It does seem Chairman Ken was up to his usual devious shenanigans but is this really a time to gloat. The events at Leeds over the last few yrs are a sad time for ALL supporters. No clubs are safe anymore and if the FA and League carry on makin the rules up as they go along more clubs will be affected and go to the wall

Point 1: Sheffield is bigger than Leeds in terms of population. This is a fact.
As for Leeds Utd… to be honest, I agree with those who say Leeds shouldn't have got any points back. For too long football clubs have spent money recklessly and used the CVA/administration option as a cheap way of getting out of their debt commitments. All those small, local businesses who rely on income from the football club will lose valuable revenue - in some cases their major income comes from supplying the clubs. It's not just faceless corporations that lose out.
Leeds are a particularly bad example of clubs using administration/CVAs as a way out. Bates and company were trying to pull a fast one - they got caught and were rightly punished.
There is no 'conspiracy' against Leeds, as some of their fans seem to think. No-one is singling them out. The club has consistently been mismanaged over the last decade and now you're paying the price. Instead of backing Bates and crying foul/thinking the world has it in for you, you really should be asking tougher questions of the clowns that have done this to YOUR club - the likes of Risdale, Bates etc.
Unlike some posters here I'm not anti Leeds. A lot of my family is from up that way and are regulars at Elland Road (though most prefer Rugby League and watching the Rhinos, who are probably the most entertaining team around right now). My mum even used to be a Leeds season ticket holder in her youth (hilariously, her dad wouldn't let her go to the rugby as it was a "man's game" so she went to the football instead).
Aside from the top few clubs, football is in a huge mess. Player wages are hugely inflated, transfer fees too high and club management reckless. Perhaps a few clubs going under - however bad this will be for the likes of Bournemouth (who I used to go watch when I was a student) - will focus minds at boardroom level a bit more.

Season looks to be a good one, MacAllister's made some good signings, Robbie Snodgrass and the new Argentinian striker look great by all accounts. Jesus (Prutton) has signed for another year with us and the all important youth are coming through, let's hope we can hang on to them, Fabien Delph especially, already in the England U20's as first choice right-wing and we're in D3.. :)

Fabien Delph, by all accounts the brightest prospect at Leeds in a long time, let's face it if we don't go up next year we'll lose him at the end of the year. He's already in the England Under 20's and makes Kewell on his good day/s look like a Sunday League player.
Fabien Delph, you heard his name here first folks...
Friend of mine went to the Palace game. He said there was a young lass in the pub who told him this lad from her school had text her in the morning to say he was playing in the Leeds team, obviously they all patted her on the head and said of course he did love. Turns out it was Eamon White, first game for Leeds at leftback and had an absolute blinder. How must that feel? 15 years old, great I guess..
Other things I picked up on:
It should have been 7 - nil we played them off the park.
The signing of Telfer's a nice bit of business.
The Aussie Kilkenny is a big talker on the pitch and might be pushing for a rightful place as captain.
The Argentinian, Becchio, looks to be great classic centre forward, works his socks off and wins the the ball in the air all night long.
If we don't win this league with this squad then we're screwed we'll be down here for ages..
Read the article by Shaun Derry pre-Palace match and thought; a) why did Wise let him go, b) why is Wise such a wanker, c) Derry is a geniunly pragmatic and articulate football, not many of them to a pound is there???
Oh yeah, and Wise is a wanker (sure I mentioned that) and Bates is way ahead of Thatch on my 'hope they kark-it soon list'.

Sod it here you go, Shaun Derry's comments about Leeds....
"If I'm being honest with people then I'd say that Dennis Wise is not someone I got on with personally.
"That's often the case in football. You can't see eye-to-eye with everyone and I don't wish ill-will on any individual at Leeds. In fact, I wish them all the luck in the world. But there wasn't much left for me as things stood.
"When I captained Leeds for Dennis' first game as manager I thought then that the relationship would be a long one, but times change and they change quickly. I had horrendous injury problems but when I recovered in November I wasn't invited to train with the first team, and I was honest enough to accept the bigger picture there and then.
"The situation was clear as day, and I didn't really expect that another opportunity would come along.
"Five years ago my reaction to that might have been very volatile. These days I've got a wife and two children, and you have to keep a level head. I'd have been happy to fight for my place at Leeds but Crystal Palace were offering me a better chance. This move isn't just about football, it's about my responsibilities as a father and a husband.
"I've had brilliant times as Leeds, and none better than getting to the play-off final. That will stay with me forever. But 2007 was a case of going from one disaster to another. Neil Warnock showed faith in me at exactly the point when I needed it, and I'm joining Palace for him as much as anyone else.
"People who know me would say that I'm a man of my word, and I had a contract with Palace which I felt I should honour
"The fact that Leeds didn't ask for a 24-hour recall clause spoke volumes in my opinion. I didn't feel I was wanted there.
"I was always willing to return to Leeds, and I would have gone back there happily this week if a deal hadn't been agreed. But I didn't think it was right to go back before the end of my loan and to let down the people who had given me a chance. I didn't want to burn my bridges with Crystal Palace.
"A permanent transfer was never guaranteed, and it was probably questionable right up until last week. What I did know was that I couldn't count on a future at Leeds, and I needed to think of my own career and my own circumstances. In the end, it was the right decision for me.
"But I'm not prepared to be bitter about way my time with Leeds has come to an end. Despite the ups and downs, these three years have given me a lot of perspective about the job we do.
"We're incredibly lucky to be footballers, and the more I think about the years I spent with Leeds, the more privileged I am to be one.
"As a family we emptied our house in Harrogate on Monday night, and there were a few tears shed as we left.
"It's been home to us for a long time, and we'd all say it was the best place to live in England. It helps when you're playing for one of the country's best clubs.
"Signing for Leeds United was such a proud day for me, and there can't be a single player who wasn't sad to leave the club. I've had good times and bad times, and some of the bad times have been very difficult. But the whole experience has been unforgettable. It's been an absolute privilege.
"You don't choose to play for Leeds United, the club choose you. I'm honoured that they did. My son Jesse will be brought up as a Leeds United fan now because when I was young it was traditional to support your local team, and Leeds are his. He'll thank me for that when he's old enough to understand."
