how old is this now - 2004 wasnt it?
remarkable - it deinitely set the tone for how beards would be worn thereafter.
Even Le Club was brand new to most of us when this first appeared (seems like an old standard, now!)

that's why we call them beards, no ?
2many dj's played Le Club way before MK7, FACT ;)
thanks to fab for posting this, i hadn't listened to it in years. i have very happy memories of my birthday with room full of friends high on vodka, ending with inappropriate nudity on my behalf

no worries, my post wasn't meant as a bad or upsetting remark
more a little stir up for the beards ;)
2 many dj's are soulwax, aka the brothers Dewaele
the older one, stephen was for years my best friend until he moved to brussels
and i moved to the netherlands and we lost contact
Stephen introduced me to the art of djing and is a musicfreak of the highest order
plus their dad was a famous radio dj & concert promoter and mum worked at a radio-station
so their house was literally full of records, we're talking about 50 to 60.000 records, imagine growing up between that kind collection, visiting their house was of course always very inspirational, discovered many music & styles of music thanks to the Dewaele family
soulwax are together with the Mo & Benoelie with Dirk & his eskimo crew they are a major force in the music scene in here Ghent

I'm into another mark mix with a track that samples the synth loop of k.i.d. - don't stop with some nice spoken vocals.
It's in my car but can't recall the mix name.

If you are digging Mark's mixes and fancy catching him live in the mix then get down to the E.S.P All Nighter at The Star of Bethnal Green, London on Sat 10th October..
He will be playing an extended set - more details to follow in the parties section soon...
