top stuff. :p
red machine in full effect.
bring on chelsea.
torres is in a class of his own.
delighted for liverpool - what a game!
arsenal looked so good in the first 20mins too - problem is they have little grit/spirit, as soon as Hypia equalised they let their heads drop, the big girls...

well, they managed to equalise! i felt quite badly for arsenal - walcott's run was world class and the penalty was harsh even though i could see why the ref gave it. it would have been nice to see arsenal in the semi for all the entertainment they have given over the last few years...

yeah they managed to equalize but had lost that total control which they enjoyed straight after Hypia's goal - that was my point. after that, even tho' they snatched one back, they looked shakey. liverpool deserved it even tho' arsenal do play some pretty awesome football when they fancy it.

Nutshell. Can't be sustained, the results are compelling.

Walcott's run and cross was on a par with Giggs's solo wonder goal from the '99 FA Cup semi, it was good enough to win that game, just a shame that in 10 years time it'll be appearing in some sports monthly top ten list of the best shows of skill not be rewarded with victory or something like that.

Most days I count my blessings that I'm not a Gooner but last night doubley so.

When you walk through a storm
hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.

Out of residual loyalty I watched the Chelsea Fenerbahce game. Jesus, we were total and absolute shit. Don't let the result fool you, Chelsea were dead lucky to go through.

Same for me. Very nervy stuff for us supporters. I thought it wasn't going to be our night when we lost Cudicini and then Hilarious kept kicking like a 6 year old wearing his best mates' boots. We have a serious problem in goal now, and it really isn't the right time in the season for that. Can't Cech wear a crash helmet or something?
I invoke the 'Law of averages', we must win one of these semi final games one day. What with the second leg at home this time and Roman being at home for the final, its all there for the taking. Fingers crossed. Looking forward to this one (again).

I must admit im not looking forward to chelsea this time. The second game being at your place will be a big bonus for you. We have good experience of these games though, but three times lucky? I dont know.
Going to be a great game thats for sure but last nights will take some toppling.

arsenal were just immense for the first 25 minutes, i was actually pretty gobsmacked by their technical ability - all one touch passing and quick movement. i feared for liverpool at that point
however, they just couldn't sustain it and liverpool finished the first half the stronger
second half was much much better from liverpool and torres goal was mint
definitely a soft penalty but i'll take that! babel definitely made a difference when he came on
i fancy liverpool to beat chelski - especially with a goalkeeper named 'hilario' :)

Great game this! The penalty decision was ropey but Liverpool deserved the win over two legs.
Babel's goal was class, sweet strike of the ball.

erm, apart from the fact he didnt actually score ? or mean anything ?
by the way get your visa applications in for moscow, huge backlog and frosty brit/ruskie relations mean tickets will be hard to come by, but wont do you any good as you wont be able to get there....

As a neutral can't say Liverpool were lucky.Arsenal were fantastic first twenty minutes or so.But once Hypia scored it was all Liverpool.
Was it a pen ? Defo just like the one the week before was

Well what do you want? I'd have loved Arsenal to do the double this year but Arsene's decisions in the January transfer window have come back to bite him and this is the result. Out the CL and the League hopes are pending the Mancs fucking it up. Liverpool looked like sitting ducks in the first twenty minutes and with a fresher squad i don't think we'd even be discussing this, Arsenal would have bossed both fixtures and still be in with a shout of the title.
As for the semi... yawn indeed.

No I know he didn't score and it ultimately didn't mean anything... that was mostly my point - a piece of skill that good (and lets face it, he ran from outside his own box and into the opposition penalty area) deserved to win any game, just like Giggs's did that night... football, bloody hell! ;)

were arsenal playing with a rush keeper on that one?Rush keeper and Fabregas as centre-half...and right back. The Walcott run was stunning. Felt sorry for Arsenal. Hope Liverpool beat Chelsea for a chance of a Man U - Liverpool final.

Flukey and undeserving
putting 4 goals past arsenal isn't down to luck and it's not a fluke.
it's down to hard work (kuyt ran himself into the ground) and not giving up.
...and it was totally deserved.

Think the crapness of Senderos also had something to do with it. Was nowhere near Hyypia or Torres for either of their goals.
