See thats how you celebrate a european win, not by slagging the manager.
Well done I robot just goes to prove what can happen when you have a bit stability at the club. And a manager being backed by his club and the supporters, and not having his head called for all the time by sky generation whopper fans.

i like moyes and what he's done with that team and on very little money too (in relative terms).

Brilliant night!
Some of the goals were magnificent, Yakubu's second and both of Johnson's in particular.
Made up to see Piennar back in action, we've missed him.
We haven't played well since Blackburn really but clinical moments are seeing us through. Fiorentina will be tough but it's just another step-up that we're definitely ready to take.
Been trying to book flights to Florence but the prices are ridiculous. Not looking good.
We've got Citeh next. Topical!

Have you tried these people http://www.bluekipper.com/Euro_advert/euro_advert_4.htm
I know the fellas behind Philosophi who are running some trips over to Florence, they have been running a few euro trips for the blues and they have been getting a lot of positive feed back.

Looking forward to the game on Monday where we'll give you a spanking for that Euro spot... ;)

I'm really impressed with City this season. Hows the young kid Micheal Johnson going on, is he still injured? I know Rafa was making some inquiries about him?

Aye, City & Everton are having good season's so far with similar setups.
Johnson's been out with abdominal strain, could be available for Monday but doubt he'd be match fit.
tbh I'd be happy with a top 10 spot at the start of the season but there's no reason why we can't get a euro spot this season, hopefully the Utd. game was the kick start back into some form after a poor couple of months.
With players returning from injury and some exciting youngsters (Ched Evans has been playing very well whilst on loan at Norwich) it looks promising at City.
A good mate of mine is an Evertonian so i'll be round there on Monday...

ps - the evertonians over in Norway last week were brilliant. That one guy went for the ball as it came into the stands then fell over doing a full forward roll was hilarious. C5 even clocked it and showed it again at half-time.

Didn't watch that game on the telly meself but I heard the blue boys got a tad excited at the end and staged some mad celebratory pitch invasion.

The Brann fans were superb on the whole, getting beat 6-1 but still going beserk cheering on. Class! Saw a big group on Matthew St, all good banter.
The only blip was over there when someone threw a pool ball at Tim Howard, bad vibes.

I was thinkin of goin to the away game.Mentioned it to a mate and a couple of taxi drivers. All three said theres no chance they'd go to Italy to watch the game, reminding me of Italian fans tendency to carry blades and fondness for cutting up British fans with them.
Anyone any idea what kind of rep the Fiorintina fans have got for this kind of thing

They probably have just as bad a reputation as any other Italian team. Just get yourself over there and soak up the atmosphere with all the other thoasaunds of blue fans.

Do it. There's always the risk of knifing and/or overenthusiastic policing, but 20 long years of non-European cup grind means you really should take the opportunity. But, it's a very minor one, gotta say. The Blues have a bit of a rep (meaning foreign teams have heard of this, not 'where is Middy-burra?') and I assume, most major Italian teams have their own nutty Ultras. Firenze are a 'big' club, too (I'm waiting for any Italians to contradict me!)
But seriously, are you going to let that get in the way? Some cracking places in Firenze, too. There is a good second hand record store - could ask a mate for the name ;)
I wish I was goin . ..:(

Can't make Florence, gutted. Been there before at this time of year, superb city!
Watched them get beat by Roma yesterday and wasn't that impressed. Vieri looks so slow, on his way out. Mutu went off with a twisted knee, wish him all the best of course but hopefully the injury will last for a few weeks to come. :)

Mutu's goosed - good, karma for that one he punched in for Chelsea against us a few years back. As for La Viola's fans they did have a reputation as the biggest loons in Italia a few years back, so its worth bearing that in mind. And Baggy, unlucky mucker but yous were outclassed & lucky it wasn't 7 :-D
PS I Robot - its bottles of brown not mild, seeing as it has to rhyme with "town"

Aww man, only City can give Utd. a pasting then roll over for our next game.
Fair play, your guys attack was better than our defense in the 1st half and your defense was better than our attack in the 2nd.
Had my Evertonian mate texting me all night...:(
Hope Everton finish 4th above Liverpool.

Are Everton as institutionally racist as they used to be, from the Boardroom on down? :hidesbehi

Oh Christ yeah, if we don't have a burning cross & live lynching before each home game I find it most distressing. Sheesh, care to make a not-so-wise-crack about hub caps/stereos going west next?
