This is special. A mix taken direct from the sound boards of San Francisco's famous Trocadero club one night in 1980.

Although it came with a full track list the gentleman who passed it on to me did not know who the DJ was that night, I would guess though that it was the resident at that time, Bobby Viteritti, any thoughts?:

Change – The End
Sabu – We’re Gonna Rock
Erotic Drum Band – Touch Me Where It’s Hot
Ann Margret – Midnight Message
Wadrell Piper – Super Sweet
The Ritchie Family – Quiet Village
Dive Grey & The Oyster Band – Hotel Paradise
Cerrone – Call Me Tonight
Erotic Drum Band – Pop Pop Shoo Wah
Theo Vaness – No Romance Just Wanna Dance
Theo Vaness – Sentimentally It’s You
Persia – Inch By Inch
Vera – Take Me To The Bridge
Don Ray – Got To Have Lovin
Sylvia Love – Instant Love

Odd, yeah its still there, I just tested it, click the link beneath the track list on the blog post.

Maybe the server was down for a second. Give it another try, Songbird and the winamp web browser have problems pulling files from the blog as I use hotlinking protection and they don't send a referer. Also hence why I didn't put a direct link to the mp3 on here.

ah, the anti-hotlinking script was causing problems for people playing directly using a quicktime plugin.

Fingers crossed it should be fixed!

Together with the Burgess sets, vintage Viteritti recordings are as Disco as it can get. Wonderful. Apparently, he is in the process of transferring his old reels onto CDs (http://www.bobbyviteritti.com/xcart/home.php)

Bobby Viteritti sent me an email through the blog telling me that he did infact make the mix(!), he didn't ask me to take the mix down and was very cool about it but please visit the man's website, he is transfering a lot of old reels to digital and having them remastered and available on CD http://www.bobbyviteritti.com/

can anyone tell me the name of the song on at the very end of the mix. it's not in the tracklisting, it's on after sylvia love - instant love. it's an instrumental, spacey type number. thanks.

the troc was the site of one of the first acid house parties i played around '90...disco was almost dead in s.f. by the time i started playing and going to dance clubs in sf in '87. bobby v was pretty much the dude in sf as the story goes... so, thanks for the link... has anyone heard him play : ) jason
