Just came across this on the web. Maybe useful for some of you Mac dudes, a lossless MP3 editor.

I've got that. It is very good for things like normalizing very quiet mp3s or trimming off long silences at the beginning & end of some mixes. It also has a brilliant feature where you can raise or lower the volume of a specific section visually, so you match it to the surrounding level. This can help repair drop outs in mp3s of old tapes.
Obviously being an mp3 editor you can't do really precise chops on the waveform so you can't loop sections of a track or do any sort of re-editing with it. But if you want to do what I do a lot with old mixes, like remove the last few tracks in a deep house mix that starts to get a bit proggy or get rid of an overlong, self-indulgent intro it works perfectly.

Think I'll stick to Sound Studio. At least until those buggers at Rogue Ameoba admit that I did buy Audio Hijack, now lost on my MacBook's dead hard disk. :(
