I didn't find any shops to speak of. I did find a shop that sold Indian music in Little India.

Going to Sing again with work for 4 days, has anything changed, or should this go in the food section?

I have a mate who works at Credit Suisse or some such in Tokyo. He told me a while back that employment laws are so troublesome in Tokyo that it is hard to fire people (not sure if this is a true story...)
Anyway, what happens is they send people to the Singapore office and fire them from there - cos it's a piece of piss.

Are they trying to tell you something? ;)

They are, they are telling me I need to fly economy class this time as it's a regional training session and not a real 'business trip' and they've stuck me in the Mandarin as well and not into Raffles.

Anymore of this delibrate mistreatment and they wont have to fire me! :)

Yep, people in Asia go to Singapore to retire (low risk / low pay / nice lifestyle) or be retired (whacked / fired / etc..).

Either way it's the banking career equivilant of one of these..
