I'm looking for a new method of hooking up my Alesis Midiverb 4 effects unit.
Until now i've always used 2 post fade aux sends and back into a stereo return. That way I can have a reverb on aux 1 and a delay on aux 2.
I've recently been getting into the MIDI part of the machine and want to be able to controll the reverb amount via MIDI CC's in Cubase. To do this I have to turn off the 'dry defeat' feature on the unit which removes the dry signal from the output when used in a 'send & return' system like mine. This has to be done in order to alter the wet / dry mix of the effectvia MIDI. When this function is on, the effect amount is fixed at 100%.
The trouble is, now that the function is off, i'm getting dry signal back into the channel which obviously sounds crap ( flange!)
Any ideas how I can get round this?
