Any recommendations for Birmingham? Oldies mainly (y'know the type, racks n racks of stuff that hide that little gem).

Mind you, I expect ole Rob J has been on the case already!

Massive Records for new stuff, downstairs ask for Tom - 29 - 30 Stephenson Street / Birmingham

Tempest Records, again mainly new stuff but you'll often find some older gems in there, again head downstairs - 83 Bull Street, Birmingham

Hard 2 Find Records - as the name suggests, good for rarer, deleted stuff. Not been in a while though - Vinyl House, 10 Upper Gough Street, Birmingham - "Don't ask for directions to this place, as it is a long standing Brummy joke to send you in the wrong direction. It's hard to find"

The Birmingham Record Agency, Shop T4, The Custard Factory, Gibb Street, Digbeth, Birmingham - The Custard Factory is a cool place to visit to check anyway, and just round the corner from The Rainbow Pub, which is probably the best pub in Brum - Some very good nights coming up there over summer - with ace food

Reddington Rare Records - Smithfield House, Digbeth, Birmingham - good for the odd Balaeric gem

And...over to Rob J

If you pop a request on the jigsawmusic.net guestbook, you'll probably get a load of recommendations there too
