My Portuguese mates Johnwaynes, create a f***g house bomb called "Libertango".
Will be out in a couple of days on Compost Black..
like the sound of that
has CB been a bit quiet of late? I have a few crackers on that label from 3 years ago or so but lately nothing, maybe just cos I don't shop in the same shops?

Willie Graff - 123 Yeah Yeah (brothers vibe mix)
Dirt Crew - Redux EP
Timmy Regisford - Tension
Tony Lionni - Found A Place
Arthur Russell - Wax the Van (yam who mix)
David Keno-Karacho

They keep releasing a lot. There's a new one on Juno.
Last month or so, they released a great Ep of Jay Shepheard.

Bought #44 Sarrass - Breathe on CB the other week - sounded better in the record shop -maybe it needs more amplification than I give it here in this family semi.
I really like the new ep on Permanent Vacation by John Talabot
edit
maybe it's disco
i like this one too
anyone know anything about the one below? first track sounds v familiar, was it on a recent mcde mix or something. terrible recording tho, january sounds like it could be very good
einfach - lemany - (based on Nina Simone see line woman)
AMAZING tune
It's very similar to the other See Line Women house tracks that have been done though. I thought the other side was really good with the "Sing it Back" vocal. Other things (not really too recent):
Floating Points - Love me like this (dub)
King Of The Witches (Rub & Tug Mix)
that new one coming from Manuel Tur (on one of Bills recent podcasts)
Silent Servant and Function - Violencia
Are there any good vocal tracks around? So many house records around now sound so smooth and hypnotic, which is good but you could also have a good sleep to them...
had a listen to most of the recommendations, youve been great virtual record shop folk, and i didnt have any heavy piles to bring back to the counter.
going to do a massive trawl through the minimal/tech house bit tonight coz there seems to be a fair bit of good stuff in there that is neither. that sushitech label is pretty hot, cheers for the intro milo.
bought these last night. £55 for 6 records. i really really need to get on to serato.
1 x OMAR S: Blown Valvetrane (Sound Signature US)12":
1 x RED RACK'EM: Picnic (Deep Freeze)12":

The best house tune I've heard lately is the new Peter Kruder on Macro, the Law Of Return. It takes a few plays and you have to listen to all of it to fully appreciate what's going on with it, but it really digs into you after a few plays. Not a floorfiller by any means but a very beautiful piece of music.
