Street Corner Symphony - The Very Best Of Street Corner Symphony (DJhistory.com)

Street Corner Symphony, the brainchild of soulboy Glen Gunner, in cahoots with Pete Z, was part of a wave of British house music producers from the early ’90s that included Black Science Orchestra, Joey Negro, Sensory Productions, KCC and Fire Island who were clearly more inspired by New York and its disco past than the jackin' Chicago house. They released their brilliant debut single on Open (and featuring DJ Harvey on percussion), Ministry of Sound’s early foray into releasing 12-inches, before going on to produce a series of spacey house records for their own label and others. We‘ve gathered together the best of their releases on to one compilation which also includes three previously unreleased tunes, including the mythic original version of Street Corner Symphony (all 20 minutes of it!).
