Various - Originals: Mark Seven (Claremont 56)
Aside from being one of our favourite DJs (we've had him at Low Life twice already), Mark Seven has also quietly built a rep as one of the most discerning record dealers in Europe through his Jus' Wax website. Originally inspired by the London acid house scene (like many Mark is a Home counties boy) he produced house records in the 90s before high-tailing it to the continent, before settling in Stockholm. He's built up a reputation there for his periodic Black Lodge parties and occasional excursions to the UK have been met with a rapturous response. No surprise then, that he's been asked by Claremont 56 honcho Paul Murphy to come up with this sleek monster of a compilation. Full of killer obscurities it unselfconsciously spans genres from house to techno and European pop. A must have.
